October 21,2014

Now that my huge weekend project is complete, I just had a lil crafty something I have been putting together for Adam. Its been over a year that his grandfather passed away and Adam has had a few mementos that were pretty special to him that are just lingering around waiting to get lost. So thanks to his mom and sisters, I came up with a beautiful memory box....

In Memory of Marvin Dale Madden

Fond memories of Adam & Grandpa while Adam was in the Navy

October 16-19th Mommy & Maddy Weekend

So Adam officially left and went on a work golf trip for a few days and the kids and I stayed behind. Actually was kinda sad because Adam and I have not been apart more than one night since we met. Its almost like having a limb missing. I think over the course of this, we realized its not our style to be separated. We like each others company and find a certain comfort together. Im guessing this should be what marriage should be..... Ive had a few couples that have inspired me with the love they still carry after 20-30 or even 40 years. Its not always easy to get along with people, especially one you are with ALL the time, but Im learning its more of being selfless and not selfish.
Thursday morning he leaves and little does he know I have bought new furniture for our covered porch and Im putting together his very own OHIO STATE room- even though its not a room per say its an area we spend all our time with company and has its very own TV, so I guess its an outdoor room. I spent much of the weekend painting the concrete- which is not so bad to do, assembling the furniture and cooler with the help of Kinz and decorating... I was so thankful to finally use his OS stuff that has been boxed and stuffed away since we met. Turned out very nice and he was super surprised. Maddy and I did some shopping and managed to sneak in a quick dinner date with Miss Lena and Heather. Nothing I needed more than a super cold Margarita. I love doing anything crafty and changing around the house when peeps are gone. We have worked on a few pretty cool projects lately that has turned out nice. Adam has become quite handy. Oh and I also decided that I need to start reading a little before bed. Def can use the ME TIME and an inspiring read is perfect... So I found a good starter book and I have begun, so far so good.

I guess these were her weekend booties since she was missing her daddy

October 11th 2014 Sease Farm Corn Maze

THIS... to be exact is our second go round with this corn maze. Adam had this bright idea when Kinsley was only 7 to take her through a corn maze and Ive never seen her run through crowds of people so fast trying to escape... It was actually quite funny. We laughed as we chased behind her- which this is pre-maddy. So this year, being shes a big almost 11 tweeny, we decided to go back and not only to the corn maze but we let her and a friend attempt it all on their lonesome. Adam and I took maddy and let her do slides, rides and see animals. She had a great time- but an hour and a half into this I began to wonder if the girls would EVER find their way out. So being the paranoid mom that I am, I sent a staff member in to bring them out. And YES, those two were totally lost but had a great time and ended the evening with a hayride.....

October 10th Luke Bryan Farm Tour

We as Southern girls love many things.... Good ole southern slang, we love grits and gravy, cornbread and rolls, flannel anything, boots, scarves, bright red lipstick, beers and more beers, AND COUNTRY MUSIC. Actually I am pretty southern but I grew up listening to more hippy music than anything. My husband has given me a new found love in music and that's COUNTRY. Blake Shelton melts my heart!!! That man is crazy awesome. So we did get a country fella to come sing right here in SC- LUKE BRYANS Farm Tour. Lots of friends, as usual we had corn hole- you cant drink beer and not play corn hole, beer- lots of it and a spread of food. Popped our tent up, backed up the trucks for sitting and busted out the corn hole. Nothing like a lil key popping, beer chugging. YES, I would say it was a fine day and super warm.... Minus all the cow patty's we had to dodge and after a few beers, that task was over.

A little girl time never hurt anyone.. Especially to celebrate Birthdays

Its Fall and dang the weather has been 90iiiiish. HOT! Especially when I bust out a light sweater and leggings. Thursday evening and I have escaped from my everyday yoga attire, put on a cutsie outfit and did the hair all fancy and added makeup toooooo. Looking not so much like a carline rider but a woman about to enjoy an evening out with one of her besties... Cant go wrong with a start at Miyos for sushi and saki. Perfect girl date!! So nice, we even got to sit out side and enjoy the fresh air. After we met a few nice people at The British Bulldog- which is a kinda cool lil pub where the play acoustic music, trivia and watch serious sports. We had a great time. Hence the extra in our picture was a newby made friend Elizabeth. Very sweet and enjoyed the company. Thanks for a in between celebrated birthday with Christineey.... XOXO

Fall...Fall...Fall October 3-5th weekend

To begin our full weekend, prior to getting ready for the OHIO STATE game.... Adam, Shannon, Brenley, Maddy and of course myself took a stroll to the zoo as well. Weather was one you just could not pass up an outing to see the animals. Was a great time and they are opening some really neat attractions... Cant wait!!!

It has been some serious pretty weather. Not only are we two weeks into fall but we are feeling 88-90 degrees. Its the best part of living in the South- the weather, the food, the Southern charm, the historic parts, the beaches and the all around fab weather we get to lavish. And being right here In the heart of it, we have a lake 5 minutes from our house. We of course have been crazy busy lately. We made a super Mexican spread and had some good friends over to watch the game.... Always a good time with a lil beer, corn hole and yummy eats.

Also being such an important date October 5th we celebrated our sons 15th birthday. Its crazy how time flies and now this once diaper wearing, snuggle bunny little guy is more interested in girls, basketball, skateboarding, football games and DRIVING.... We always eat at Yamato every year for his birthday- been sort of a tradition. Always good food and great time with a few friends. HAPPY 15TH hunter bug!!

To end with our Sunday Funday- we all usually go to the Browns Backers Bar and support the Cleveland Browns. But as long as my weekend has been and as tired as this little 2 year old princess is- we are staying home and letting daddy do this one....
GO BROWNS; with a nice win.... Sad we were not there!

Love our new shirts....
